This unique hoofed sandtray miniature resembled pigs! In fact this sandtray miniature called the Daeondon was once known as a terrible pig. These creatures had huge heads that could be as long as three feet long. Mostly omnivores which meant they mostly ate plants there were mostly in the United States well over 15-20 million years ago.
Their scientific name mean dreadful teeth.
Daeodon were made for running and showing off their dreadful teeth. Our sandtray miniature shows off these features as well as its distinctive cheekbones and long thin legs think of this creature like a very large warth hog.
Daeodon shoshonensis was the largest known entelodont, standing almost six feet tall at the shoulder. Its teeth and cheekbones were quite unique among entelodonts, and its exact relation to other members of the family is still not very well understood.
